Overtime

Working overtime tonight, so I’m not going to be able to post anything (other than this, obviously) today. I’ll be back tomorrow!

Day 2

It’s been a fairly uneventful day. I had to take something for my allergies and ended up sleeping most of the afternoon, so I haven’t really done anything today.

I adopted a soldier through Soldier’s Angels this evening. I’m supposed to send her at least one letter or card a week, which should be easy enough – I love to write letters – but I’m also supposed to send at least one care package a month, which is a little trickier. I don’t have a lot of experience with it so I’m not sure exactly what to send. Fortunately I know there are a lot of places online where I can go to find ideas.

Other than that, not a whole lot happened today. I thought the weekend would never get here, and now it’s nearly over! Back to work tomorrow. I’m going to ask for a couple vacation days pretty soon, I think. I haven’t taken a day off in a few months, so it’s starting to sound nice.

NaBloPoMo

I signed up for NaBloPoMo this month, or at least think I did. I don’t see my blog on the blogroll yet but we’ll see if it shows up later. They did say it can take awhile. The theme this month is UP. I don’t know if I’ll be blogging on the theme much, but I’m interested in seeing what other people come up with for it.

I moved my blog back to the original host, at least for now. I had it on WordPress.com, but after awhile I decided since I’m paying for hosting, etc., here I might as well start using it again! I kind of like having a fresh start again. I’m not crazy about this theme, but it’ll do for now. I haven’t really had a lot of time to look through everything available. I’d like to have someone design one for me (I don’t even know where to start doing that on my own) but I don’t think it’s really in my budget right now.

It’s nearly 11 PM already so I’m going to go ahead and publish this. I really meant to post earlier, before I got sleepy, etc., but we had company over for dinner this evening and I didn’t get the chance. More tomorrow!
